About Buck Creek Streak

​Fun people + beautiful trails + good food = a great day. This is a clothing optional 5K trail run/walk through the woods, trails, and meadows of Carolina Foothills Resort. You may choose to run the 7.3K at no additional cost. If you run the 7.3k, you will also be entered into the 5K. Please choose only one race length.  We give awards for first, second, and third place winners in the 5K as well as a special finisher's medal for those who complete the 7.3K Mike Ward Challenge.

​Go the Extra Mile & Complete "The Mike Ward Challenge"

​The Mike Ward Challenge: Go the Extra Mile, in the 7.3K Mike Ward Challenge honoring the man who inspired the event. Mike was a longtime member of CFR who passed away in 2017 at the age of 73, thus the 7.3k.  His wish was for the race to continue annually and to introduce more people to the resort.

$55.00     April 1st, 2025 through May 31st, 2025
$65.00    June 1st, 2025 through June 14th, 2025**** (*** Race registration on June 14th only available for returning guests)

Please note: Carolina Foothills Resort, requires background check approval for all visitors before admittance through the gate. If you or someone in your party have never been to Carolina Foothills Resort before, please call the CFR Office at 864-461-2731 and get your background check completed prior to race day.

* One Day Pass is included with registration. Any nonrunner(s) will need background check approval and to purchase a day pass from the CFR Office. 
** One Lunch meal ticket is included with registration. Nonrunners may purchase a lunch meal ticket from the CFR Office day of the race (while supplies last).
*** If Registration is after May 11, 2025 the Specialty Buck Creek Streak T-Shirt and Lunch meal ticket are while supplies last.
