:: Things YOU Need To Know
 Greetings CFR Members and Friends!

Welcome back!  First, we'd like to wish everyone a very happy new year, with the hope that this year will be better than the past.

As for resolutions, we have a few suggestions:  plan to do some of the things you've always wanted to, but couldn't find the time; stop holding that grudge and start fresh, the memories will be sweeter; get in touch with that family member or friend you haven't talked to in a while; don't make those promises you know you can't keep, just say no nicely; smile as much as possible, it will take years off your appearance; give someone a hug; and most importantly, don't be afraid to say "I Love YOU".  Say it as many times as you possibly can in 2010, these are the sweetest words in the world.

We're EXCITED, can HARDLY WAIT to begin our 2010 season!  We've got some great activities scheduled and we're looking forward to sharing good times with our favorite familiar faces and hopefully many new favorite faces.

See you real soon,

The Naked Truth
Interview with Verna (Member @ Large)

Overdue, but worth the wait, allow us to introduce Verna....

Word Games:

CFReNews:  Snow or Rain?
Verna:  Rain, I lived in snow.
CFReNews:  Black or White?
Verna:  Black, it makes you look skinny.
CFReNews:  Friends with Benefits or Date?
Verna:  Friends with Benefits
CFReNews:  Hugs or Kisses?
Verna:  Hugs, because they come from everyone.
CFReNews:  Candy or Flowers?
Verna:  Flowers because they make you smile.  Candy makes you fat.

More Important Stuff:

CFReNews:  If you were heading for Survivor Island, what one item would you take with you?
Verna:  The Bible.

CFReNews:  Where do you go to get away?
Verna:  CFR.

CFReNews:  If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
Verna:  Gold.  My alma mater colors were black and gold.

CFReNews:  If you could buy anything in the world, but just one thing, what would you buy?
Verna:  China, so that I could bring all the jobs back to the USA.

CFReNews:  What makes you laugh the most?
Verna:  Life.  Everyday is a holiday, a gift.

CFReNews:  Are you currently wearing anything that doesn't belong to you?
Verna:  Not now, but I do have items such as earrings that Bill gave me.

CFReNews:  Name three things you can't live without?
Verna:  Babe, Cigarettes and FrogRitas.

CFReNews:  What is your main goal for this year?
Verna:  To survive the Board with any intelligence left.

CFReNews:  Do you have any nicknames?
Verna:  Bunny Rabbit was my nickname until I was 13.  My little cousin, sitting in a high chair, looked up and said there's my little bunny rabbit.  At 13, mom made it clear, my name was Verna.

CFReNews:  Have you ever caught a butterfly?
Verna:  Yes, I let it go and watched it fly away.  I wanted to go with it.

CFReNews:  Name three things in the world you dislike?
Verna:  Cold weather, Politics and Hypocrites.

CFReNews:  What is your zodiac sign?
Verna:  Gemini.  My birthday is closest to Memorial Day.  It is on 6/4.  *She wouldn't give us the year, her answer was hell NO.*  Your guess is as good as mine she said.  I am very serious about this.  So serious, that when I went to a store to buy a mattress, they asked me for my birthdate and insisted on needing the entire date.  I proceeded to walk out of the store as they called for me to come back.

CFReNews:  Name one of your physical traits that you really like?  Name one you dislike?
Verna:  I like my legs.  I dislike my high cheek bones.

CFReNews:  If you became President, what would you do first?
Verna:  Find Osama Bin Laden, because Bush said he would and he didn't.

CFReNews:  What is your most missed memory of childhood?
Verna:  Evening dinner with my family.  We were not allowed to leave the table until everyone had eaten and everyone had talked about how their day went.

CFReNews:  What is your ideal night out with a significant other?  Ideal night in?
Verna:  My ideal night out was a Willie Nelson concert.  My ideal night in is sitting on my ass while Bill cooks.

CFReNews:  Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket?
Verna:  Never!

CFReNews:  How do you typically like to make a decision?  Quickly and impulsively, Slowly and methodically, I have trouble making decisions, or Based on gut feeling.
Verna:  Gut feeling because usually gut is slowly and methodically while rationalizing.

CFReNews:  What's your favorite board game?
Verna:  Apples to Apples because I always win.

CFReNews:  If you had only six months to live, what would you do first?
Verna:  I would call all of my good friends and give them the news.

CFReNews:  When walking past a beggar, do you offer spare change or ignore?
Verna:  I give real money, dollar bills.

CFReNews:  Do you kill the spider or let it out?
Verna:  I kill the spider, they don't belong in the house.

CFReNews:  If you could go back and change one thing in your life, what would it be?
Verna:  I would have never married the first time.

CFReNews:  In your opinion, what has been the best invention?
Verna:  Electricity.

CFReNews:  What is your favorite flower?
Verna:  Peach Roses.  I hate red roses.

CFReNews:  Finish this sentence:  Something that people don't know about me until they get to know me is?
Verna:  I have a good, caring heart.

CFReNews:  Do you think it is important to tell the truth or spare someone's feelings?
Verna:  I think it varies depending on the situation.  Sometimes you need to be evasive.  My momma would beat my ass if I lied.

CFReNews:  What curse word do you say the most when your pissed?
Verna:  Bitch.

CFReNews:  We asked Verna if she knew what the seven deadly sins were and she named them all except for Sloth.  Although, we weren't clear on a definition for sloth, she agreed to answer a question from that category.  We asked Verna the following question:  How many times did you hit the snooze button on your alarm clock this morning?
Verna:  Alarm Clock?  Never!  I'm retired.

*It is important to note:  Verna emailed a couple of days later with the definition for Sloth, which means emotionally and physically inactive, wasting time.  No wonder she wasn't familiar with this sin!*

CFReNews:  If you could change one thing about CFR, what would it be?
Verna:  I'd like to teach CFR to sing in perfect harmony.

We want to thank Verna for her candidness.  It was a fantastic interview!  We had a wonderful time getting to know each other better and the wine was great too.  Thanks so much Verna!  We asked Verna what her thoughts were about the interview and she said she had a ball and they were perfect questions.

Verna, we want you to know that we appreciate you and what you do for our club.  Thank YOU!

Stay tuned, as next month's feature scoop will be Mike L.!

3) Vickie's Reminders - (a) As most of you are aware, December's trash pickup scheduled for 12/12/09 was rescheduled to April 2010 due to the EXTREME cold temperatures.  We will keep you posted once we receive the new schedule from the county. (b) We continue to observe our winter hour schedule which means our office is open from 10:00AM until 3:00PM. (c) Please consider our reduced hours of operation as you begin to prepare/cleanup your site for our upcoming season.  Don't forget to notify the office in the event you have outside vendors coming to our facility.  It is important that we know who is on site at all times.

4) Bare Acres Update - What was once known as the "Back 40" has now become Bare Acres.  Phase 1 was a sell out!  Phase 2 has only 4 lots remaining!  We are making progress with only a few items to finalize before we can set a closing date.  We want to make sure each of our members and guests are aware of where we are in the process, in the event you are considering the offer, have questions, etc.  Please contact ridehardeight@yahoo.com for more information.
